Hard rubber wheels are economically priced and recommended for applications that require higher weight capacities than soft rubber wheels can handle. These wheels work best for applications that don’t require non-marking treads or sitting in place for long periods of time. They also work well in outdoor environments and roll well over small debris, rough floors, cracks, and floor joints.
Because the wheels are black rubber, they can leave a mark on your floor much like car tires can leave marks on the road. If non-marking wheels are needed, check out our thermoplastic rubber, polyurethane, or plastic wheel casters.
We would not recommend hard rubber wheels for applications that require sitting in one spot for long periods of time under load as it can lead to flat spotting.
