Kick Bar Type Floor Lock for 4″ x 2″ Wheel Casters – Part # LFL400
Floor locks offer a foot activated braking option for equipment & carts when used with casters of similar heights. In the retracted position the floor lock rolls freely with the equipment it is attached to. Once the spring loaded pedal is engaged on the floor lock, the rubber pad extends down to create forceful resistance to immobilize the equipment.
Please note:
- Floor locks are not designed to be a jack and do not lift or directly support weight.
- To work properly, the floor lock must be used on level surfaces

Product Specifications:
- Extended Height: 5-3/4″
- Retracted: 5-1/16″
- Typically used with a 4″ diameter by 2″ wide caster that has a 5-5/8″ mounting height
- Mounting Plate Size: 4″ x 4-1/2″
- Mounting Plate Bolt Hole Pattern: 2-5/8″ x 3-5/8″ slotted to 3″ x 3″ (see pictures for drawing)
- Commonly used on carts, u-boats, platform trucks, and many other types of equipment
- Kick Bar Type – Pedal access is on the 4-1/2” (LONG SIDE)
- The pedal extends past the plate which may be a tripping hazard
